MI KYOUNG KIM collection summary:
This collection was started to change the overall prejudice about the death. The collection, originated from the question why the death has almost to be seen and interpreted by scary, fear and dark, created the collection of the bright and gorgeous feeling after reinterpreting the beautiful and attractive elements of the South Korea funeral culture (shroud, spirit bead, pompom and chrysanthemum).
Using the digital fashion factors (laser engraving, laser cut, digital print and machine felting) in the process of making the collection, can be further completed the upgraded collection. Especially the laser engraving does not come into wide use for the present, so its diversity and uniqueness were able to be shown through this collection. And combining the crochet with the knit of the static feeling endowed the digital fashion with soft and warm. Besides to mix & match the various types of the textile within the moderate collection colour tone, the visual sense of joy and sense of touch are also another point of the collection.
