Amsterdam menswear brand OntFront is honored to present the second photo project with Philadelphia Renaissance man Rich Medina. In this photo shoot OntFront shows their latest collection.
In this season's edition, Rich asked if he could bring a friend in to join the shoot. That friend happened to be the very talented gentleman Ge-ology.
Ge-ology is known for his understated, yet refined style which connects street to classic sensibilities. Ge-ology, since the 80s, carved his own lane through the world as a well-respected visual artist, music producer and DJ.
It goes without saying that OntFront, Medina and Ge-ology have a deep love for menswear and craftsmanship, as evidenced in their respective styles and career choices. Medina has been a quintessential maverick in the entertainment business for quite a long time. He has always functioned as an independent, self made man as DJ, producer and poet.
This project represents the mixture of subculture, music and style. With these images OntFront strives to show off their authentic street savvy style to a broader audience.

For SS16 Domingo Rodriguez presents his menswear collection, a simplistic combination of masculine and feminine details.
Signature design aesthetics of a modern take on minimalism and luxury craftsmanship continue within the SS16 collection. Razor sharp pattern cutting of deceptively simple techniques create a clean, modern look.
The collection offers classic monochromatic colourways in a variety of new textures and finishes, providing a directional yet relaxed everyday look. This season is a play on masculine and feminine ideals by taking menswear staples such as the denim jacket, parka, tailored blazer and in floaty fabrications such as silk georgette and crepes, which skim the body highlighting the silhouette.
There is a sense of delicacy and softness to the collection, showcased with the sheer silk black button up shirt, which is balanced with the structure and hardware of the collection, shown with the custom summer weight leather jacket. There is also a sports mentality in the finishing of the collection with elasticated hems, button off hoods and metal hardware to create a balance to the softness of the feminine fabrics.
The core structure of Domingo Rodriguez continues to emphasize the quality that goes into the construction of each piece. The minimally cut fabric and double layered hems create a high fashion and high quality finish. The pattern cutting technique creates a sleek modern look with a seamless luxury finish.

Akademie Schloss Solitude
September 4 - September 21
Program: Friday – Sunday from 2pm to 7pm.
For their solo intervention at Akademie Schloss Solitude, Apparatus 22 collective is unveiling “AS GOOD AS GOLD” - a new work that takes over The Barn (map here), the institution’s remarkable concert hall.
The second in a series of works building tension on the ambivalence of words used both in the sacred sphere and consumerist vocabulary, “AS GOOD AS GOLD” is a meditation from different vantage points on the arbitrariness of gold as a constructed measure for an “economy of identities and differences within which power and desire circulate".
Could the peculiar perfection contained within gold and its endless capacity for representation be mimicked by something less (or more) than gold?
In a gesture of positive destruction Apparatus 22 wonders whether, when suddenly conscious of arbitrary perceived values, we have the capacity to hold on to other common grounds.
The immersive installation of the Romanian collective is complimented with an artist introduction and listening sessions of “The Hour Broadcast” - a joint sound installation of Apparatus 22 + StudioBASAR + Sillyconductor.
Apparatus 22 – “AS GOOD AS GOLD” exhibition is realized with the additional generous support of the Romanian Cultural Institute in Berlin and of Apparatus 22 Circle of Friends 2014 - 2015.
